DAY, Martin - of Walpole Island, passed away peacefully at the CKHA-Sydenham Campus on Saturday, August 2, 2008 in his 79th year. Martin is the son of Lavina (Sword) & the late Alfred Day. Beloved husband of the late Muriel Yvonne (Sampson). Loving father & father-in-law of Charles & Celeste, Michael Sampson, Patricia Sword, Kathleen Sword & Ronald Peters and Meggan & Jim Rice. Dear grandfather of 13 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren. Brother of Alex, Winston, Melvin & the late Gordon 'Morry' Day (April 08) and Floyd Day (July 08). Friends may call at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 7-9 PM on Tuesday. The funeral service will be held at the Walpole Island United Church on Wednesday, August 6 at 11 AM. The interment will follow at Highbanks Cemetery.
