He volunteered for several charitable organizations and was very active in many community services and events. Bob married Geraldine Perry on September 17, 1948. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 Friday morning August 8 in St. Thomas Anglican Church, West Fort William with the Rev. Andrew Hoskin officiating. The family will hold interment in Mountain View Cemetery at a later time. "If there‘s no golf in Heaven then I‘m not going!" God looked around His golf course and saw that special place to the right side of the fairway, He had reserved a space. Grab your clubs Bob we are going to a course you‘ve never played it‘s beauty is amazing and you have "made the grade" I can‘t go now, I‘m busy – there‘s too much left to do I‘m listening but I‘m not ready, and I‘m not going with You… This may not be your program Bob, but I‘m the one who knows You‘re tired and I have promised rest, Gerry‘s waiting come now let‘s go… Reluctantly you said goodbye, then turned and walked away We‘ll see you soon "my friendlies" – there‘s a course I‘m going to play He closed your eyes, He kissed your cheek, He whispered obedient son, Eternity is here now… My Will, My Kingdom, Come. Dad, Gramps, Bob, RJ Always remember two things …you are dearly loved and will be deeply missed each and every day …and when you are with God on the golf course, any ball that rolls into an open grave may be removed without penalty.
