Charles Henry HURST

HURST, Charles - At his residence, on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, Charles Henry Hurst, age 79 of Chatham, beloved husband of the late Joyce (Hodge) (2007). Born in Chatham on September 25, 1928 son of the late Rachel (Parker) and Henry Hurst, he worked for many years at Eaton- Yale, retiring in 1993. Charles was a longtime member of Union Baptist Church and a member of the senior choir there. He is loving father of Jeffrey (Jennifer) of Dresden, Michelle Pryor of Chatham and Beth Ferreira (Dave) of Chatham. Cherished grandfather of Natalie, Matthew, Tyler, Lindsay, Joshua, Jeremiah, Devan, Timothy and Ryley. Dear brother of Jean Crosby, Chatham, Edith Kersey, London and Richard (Elsie) also Chatham. He is predeceased by a sister Helen Handsor. Friends and relatives may call at the Funeral Home, 159 William St S. Chatham from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday August 1, 2008. Funeral service to will be conducted in THE HINNEGAN-PESESKI CHAPEL, on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Frederick Brown of Union Baptist Church, officiating.
