Marlene Dolores SINCLAIR

STRAND, Marlene Dolores (nee Sinclair) September 22, 1934 - August 12, 2008 Marlene Dolores Strand, beloved wife of Donald Strand of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 after an eight month battle with cancer at the age of 73 years. Marlene was born on September 22, 1934 at the Calgary General Hospital and grew up in the Ramsay district. She was the youngest of three children born to Norman and Evelyn Sinclair. Besides her beloved husband Donald whom she married in 1965, Marlene is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Terry Strand of Airdrie and Rick and Heather Strand of Calgary; two grandchildren, Christine (Bruce) of Airdrie and Eric (Rick) of Calgary; and by her brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Angie Sinclair of Calgary. She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Doreen and Bob Schmied. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Monday, August 18, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. A private family Graveside Service will be held at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens at a later date.
