James August Adolph STIEBEL

STIEBEL, James "Jim" August Adolph. Passed away peacefully at Peace Portal Lodge in Surrey, BC on July 31, 2008 surrounded by family and the caring staff at the lodge. Jim was born in Montreal, served in WWII, and was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion in both Montreal and Surrey. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Norma and oldest son Max; Jim lived a full ninety-two years. He will be sadly missed by his daughter Susan (Malcolm); sons Gerry, Rick (Joan), Rod (Andrea), and Tom (Cynthia); 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 14660 72nd Ave., Surrey. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, BC/Yukon, would be greatly appreciated by the family. Published in the Montreal Gazette on 8/6/2008
