VACHON, Lionel - At St. Joseph's Continuing Care Centre on Friday, August 8, 2008. Lionel Edward Vachon of 14 York Street; age 97 years. Beloved husband of the late Marie-Ange Trottier. Dear father of Gerald Vachon (Rita) and Therese Martin (Armand) both of Cornwall. Predeceased by one daughter, Aurore Vachon. Loving grandfather of Alain, Louise (Jean), Marc, Stephane (Bobbie), Sylvain (Diane)and Serge (Tracy) and great-grandfather of Nathaniel, Chanel, Tristan, Cedric, Mackenna, Katherine, Alexei and Isabelle. Dear son of the late Hormidas Vachon and the late Aurore Gougeon. Dear brother of Rene Vachon (Alice) of Windsor, Rev. Father Victor Vachon (Scarboro Foreign Missions) F.F.M. of Toronto, Rolland Vachon (Mary), Aime Vachon and Anita Vachon all of Windsor and Theresa Preston of Ocala, Florida. Predeceased by one brother, Herman Vachon and by two sisters, Delisca Ryan and Emelia Ouellette. Resting at LAHAIE & SULLIVAN CORNWALL FUNERAL HOMES, East Branch, 614 First Street East (613-933-2841) from 2 p.m. Monday. Funeral Tuesday, August 12, 2008 for Mass of Christian Burial in Ste-Croix Church at 11 a.m. Interment, Notre Dame Cemetery. The family will be in attendance from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral on Tuesday.
