Elizabeth Katherine WALLS

WALLS, Elizabeth Katherine Elizabeth passed away peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2008. She was born on October 26, 1908. She is survived by her daughters, Audrey (Pete) and Etta (Gil), and her sons, Eldon, Clay (Donna), and Ivan (Rose). She was predeceased by her husband Henry in 1995, sons, baby Billy and Thomas, daughter Doris, and sons-in-law, Jack and Melvin. She leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Elizabeth was born in Beulah, N.D. and moved to Hatten, Saskatchewan in 1912. She later moved to Trochu, Alberta in the early 1920's. She met Henry Walls and they were married in 1929 and made several moves before buying a farm in the Nightingale District in 1935 where they raised a family of seven. She spent her life on the farm milking cows, raising chickens, and gardening. Her hobbies were knitting and crocheting and she loved travelling in their motorhome. She retired to Strathmore in 1992. Elizabeth will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 18, 2008 at Lord of All Lutheran Church (Strathmore) at 11:00 a.m. If desired, donations in Elizabeth's name may be made directly to Strathmore Hospital, Palliative Care Unit (200 Brent Boulevard, Strathmore, T1P 1J9).
