Helen SMEDBERG

Rodgers, Helen 2008-08-14 Mrs. Helen Anne Elizabeth Rodgers (nee Smedberg ) age 67 years, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, August 11, 2008. Helen was born in Port Arthur on October 6, 1940. She retired from the Elks Lodge, and also volunteered her time at the Military Family Resource Centre for a number of years . Helen enjoyed travelling, and spending time with family and friends in Canada and in the U.S. Survived by son John, sister Elsie Carlson(Edmond), nieces Wendy Hill (Garfield Cooper), Joy Petrick (Jon), Karen Banning (Keith) and Christine Bociurko (John). Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins also survive in Canada and the U.S. Predeceased by a son Alex, father Olavi, mother Ina, brother Allan and her grandparents. A private graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery. Should friends so desire, donations to the Military Police Fund for Blind Children would be greatly appreciated.
