DESBARATS, Margaret (nee Rettie). At Kensington Nursing Home, London, Ontario, on Saturday, October 2, 2004 in her ninety-sixth year. Beloved wife of the late Hullett John Desbarats. Loving mother of Peter and his wife Hazel of London, Susan Trudel of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, and the late David and Janet Desbarats. Mother-in-law of Mary Lynn Desbarats of Montreal. Dear grandmother of Michelle, Lissa, Sharon, Brynne, Shasta, Nicholas, Jane, Paul, Lorie, Heather, Grant, Pamela, Murray, Cynara, Sebastian, the late Gabrielle and of twenty-three great-grandchildren. Sister of Norman Rettie of Fanny Bay, British Columbia, the late Nora Haworth and Rhoda Hogle. Margaret was an Arts graduate of McGill University, taught in Montreal schools before her marriage, and was a librarian at Loyola College (Concordia University) after the death of her husband. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 1 Fallon Lane at Huron Street, London, on Tuesday, October 5 at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow.
