SQUITTI,Karen Susan 2008-08-30 Mar. 18, 1952 - Aug. 26, 2008 The family and friends of Mrs. Karen Susan Squitti, aged 56, are sad to announce the passing of a beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother and wonderful friend to us all. Karen was born to Stephen and Isobel Zysko on March 18, 1952. Karen had many memories of her childhood, although her most spoken about times were at the family camp on Lake Superior. Karen was successful in her academics, and after graduating from Hammarskjold High School, she acquired a secretarial position at International Harvester, where she met the love of her life, Terry Squitti. Together they created two daughters, Becky and Kimberly. Karen had a wonderful life, as everything she touched became beautiful. She loved her dog Benji and her cats Simba and Ming. She was so passionate about decorating her home and the lives around her that she pursued her Interior Design Diploma with Honours. Karen created a sanctuary in her yard, which many of our most special memories of her will be. Karen smiled and laughed throughout life and is an inspiration to all. Karen will be missed immensely by her loving husband Terry of 33 years; daughters Becky (Harri) and Kimberly; grandchildren Travis, Brady and Jordan; parents Stephen and Isobel Zysko; brothers Rick, David (Rhonda) and Mark (Kellie); numerous nieces and nephews along with the many other relatives and friends with whom she shared her life with. Karen was predeceased by her grandparents and her Uncle Mike Zysko. It was Karen’s intention in life to be happy and enjoy everyday - she smiled until the end of her journey. Her favorite saying was live, laugh, love and she lived those words well. Cremation has taken place and a private family service has been held.
