Lester A. HAWKES

Hawkes, Lester A. August 22, 1924 - June 17, 2008 Lester Hawkes husband of Clara of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, June 17th, 2008, following a brief illness. Born in Curryville, Albert Co., he was the son of the late Paul and Gertrude (Upham) Hawkes. Les was a Veteran of The Second World War, and retired from The Moncton Airport following more than 30 years of service. He is survived by his wife Clara (Killam), sons, William (Linda) of Halifax, Paul (Virginia) of London, ON, daughters Linda Kennedy (Ian) of NS, Helen Barrie (Allan) of Costa Rica, Judy Terrian of Saint John as well as many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. With respect to Lester’s wishes, a private family service will be held. Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Interment in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
