HEBERT, Eva (Cecilia) 2008-09-06 Mrs. Eva (Cecilia) Hebert, age 80 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre following a brief illness on Saturday, August 30, 2008 with her loving family by her side. Eva was born September 28, 1927 in Graham, Ontario. She married Ken Hebert on June 13, 1953, in Vassar, Manitoba and the family later settled in Thunder Bay. Eva‘s life was dedicated to her family and her Church. Eva was a faithful and devout member of St. Patrick‘s parish. Eva loved her family; her children and grandchildren were very important to her. Birthday celebrations, country music, visiting friends and family, dancing, shopping, baking and going to bingo were a few of Eva‘s passions. Eva also loved to laugh. Her strong spirit and dedication to her family will be sadly missed. Eva is survived by her daughters Carol (Dave) Gregal and Gail (Neil) Miller, sons Norman, Wayne (Susan) and Philip (Holly), grandchildren Michelle (Mike) and Mark Gregal, Samantha, Justin and Faith Hebert, and Elisa, Raili and Stephen Hebert, and very special niece Leona Bergkvist. Eva is also survived by siblings Bernice, Shirley, Ann, Marilyn, Donna, Hazel, Emily, Stanley and Donald, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Eva was predeceased by her husband Ken, parents Samuel and Louise Pretulac, sister Irene, brothers Pat, Fred and Phillip, and best friend Claire Fummerton. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2008 when family and friends will gather for the funeral Mass in St. Patrick‘s Cathedral at 11:00 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Msgr. P. M. Stilla V.G. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Blake Funeral Chapel with prayers being offered at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Patrick‘s Cathedral Memorial Fund would be greatly appreciated.
