PREECE, Dr. Clifford George - June 21, 1916 - August 29, 2008 - It is with sadness that we announce that Dr. Clifford (Cliff) George Preece passed away peacefully at Credit Valley Hospital on Friday August 29, 2008 in his 93rd year. He will be greatly missed by his wife Eileen, his daughters Robin and Christie (John Sterns) and his sons Bob (Marilyn), and Steve (Laura). Grandpa will be missed by Shannon, Brandon (Annie), Rebecca, Danielle, Zachary, Morgan and Bronwyn. Cliff was pre-deceased by his first wife Barbara, and his parents Nellie and George Preece. Cliff served proudly in WWII as a Captain and medical officer attached to the Seaforth Highlander's regiment. He saved many soldiers' lives. Cliff was a loyal Imperial Oil employee and retired as Medical Director in 1980. In retirement, Cliff enjoyed golfing, reading and studying languages. A Memorial Service to Celebrate Cliff's life will be held at St. Thomas à Becket Anglican Church 3535 South Common Court, Mississauga, Ontario, on Saturday, September 20th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Doctors without Borders, the Credit Valley Hospital - Renal unit, or the Hospital for Sick Children.
