NEW, Thelma May (nee Pearson) - Passed away Wednesday September 3rd 2008 at Royal Victoria Hospital Barrie in her 79th year. Thelma is survived by her husband Lloyd New, daughter-in-law Cheryl New, son Darrell New and wife Colleen, grandchildren Jamie Wood, Sarah and Mathew New; siblings, Wilbert and Joan Pearson, Morley and Dianne Pearson, Joan and John Langman , Noreen and Norman Howcroft ; nieces and nephews Gwen Carr, Dale Pearson; Bradley Pearson, Brett Pearson; Mark Langman, Lynda Knight; Cheryl Connolly, Greg Langman, Stephen Howcroft. Thelma is predeceased by her eldest son Wayne and her parents Elvin & Lillian Pearson. Thelma will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and neighbours as she always had an encouraging word and a positive attitude. Friends may call at the STECKLEY- GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME, (Clapperton and Worsley St.), Barrie on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church on Monday September 8 at 1:30 pm. Interment Thornton Union Cemetery.
