LAMPEL, Joel R. - Sept. 2/1951 - Sept 2/2008 - Passed peacefully into eternal life, after a brief illness, with his family by his side. Survived by his wife Dianne Gautreau, brother Ian (Janice), nieces Wendi Malenfant (Mike) and Carla Lampel, great- nephews Brandon and Cameron Malenfant and great-niece Ashlee McCollom. A special thank you to Robert and Sharon Robinson and Theresa and Melvin Hooper for their love and support during this difficult time. Joel will be sadly missed by his many friends and associates and especially all the members of RCNA (Brant Street) of which he was an active member. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street (one block North of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Saturday, September 6, 2008 from 3-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Joel's memory to the Alzheimer Society or the Lupus Society would be appreciated. The family wishes to acknowledge the wonderful and compassionate care given to Joel during his stay in the Intensive Care Units at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital and McMaster University Medical Centre.
