Retired Dec 1988 June 2008 WILLIAMS, Herbert J. (Bert) - Peacefully died at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, September 15, 2008 at 6:40 a.m. at the age of 79. Much loved husband of Leona (Trumble) Williams for the past 42 years. Proud father of Janet Williams (Michael Hunter), Evelyn Lockhart (Bill), Brenda Loubert (Kirk). Loving Grandpa to James, Abigail and Sarah Lockhart and Natalie Loubert, in all whom he was well pleased. Son of the late Herbert John and Mary (Wilson) Williams of Liverpool, England. Brother to the late Olwen (Clarke). Brother-in-law to Rita Forsyth (late Quintin), Catherine Trumble (Gunter Petersson) and Albert Trumble (Betty). Uncle to many nieces and nephews in Canada, Australia and England. Friends and Family are invited to gather at O'SULLIVAN DONNELLY FUNERAL HOME, corner of Cathcart and St. James Sts. Thursday, September 18 at 6 p.m. for a celebration of Bert's life followed by a time of sharing and fellowship until 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the new SAH Oncology Unit would be appreciated. A little message Bert left for his family and his many friends: It was a real and loving experience to have been in your care and that covers ALL who were a part of my dying experience. To all those friends who so faithfully supported and loved me over these last months, I'd like to say, That you 'ALL' have been a delight in my life and that I will be watching over my 'Delights'. So dearest Lee, dear family members and also those many, many friends, I wanted you to know that the Compassion, Understanding and Love that was so freely given, made this final trip of my life 'A walk in the park'.
