BALLANTYNE, Marilyn Ann (nee Jones) 1935-2008 - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, September 13, 2008, after a courageous ten month battle with brain cancer. Devoted wife of 55 years to Jim Ballantyne. Predeceased by her father Harry Jones (1949). Survived by her dear mother Winnie and step father Cecil Murray of Forest, Ontario. Loving Mother of Steve and Chris Ballantyne, Craig and Vivienne Ballantyne of Waterloo, Judy and Todd Sanders. Precious Grandma to Patti and Matt Jones, Jeffery Ballantyne, Meagan Sanders, Aaron Sanders, Liam Ballantyne and Kiegan Ballantyne. Marilyn will be sadly missed by the many family and friends whose lives she touched. A special heartfelt thank you to Ticia, Helen, Lynne and all the personal support workers and nurses for their wonderful care and compassion. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, love and support that was extended during Marilyn's illness. At Marilyn's request cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at TALLMAN FUNERAL HOME, 3277 King Street, Vineland, on Thursday, September 18th from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, September 19th from 10-11 a.m. A memorial service will follow in the Tallman Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Juravinski Cancer Centre. 11238978
