MCILWAIN, John “Sam“ - In loving memory of John “Sam“ McIlwain who passed away Monday, September 8th, 2008. Sam never had a chance when he joined the MacLennan clan. He was embraced by Don and Doris as one of their own. Donna and Chris were his best of friends and Jaimy knew him and loved him from the day he came home from the hospital. Cameron will miss him, as well as Ryan. Kera has lost a very special uncle. John had passions - for his Margaret, for his very special pals Ceilidh and Jodi. Zoe will pine for him every day. Sam loved his camp but especially loved his bagpipes. Countless hours were lost in the world of music much to his delight. He was a proud member of the Sudbury Police Band. There's a set of Hendersons waiting for you Sam. Play them long and well. Give our Samuel James a hug. He leaves behind his brothers Art (Linda) and Gord (Diane) and sister Sheila (Don). Uncle to Greg (Susan), David, Ian, Julia and Harry and great uncle of Emma and Renée. A Memorial Service will be held in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St. Sudbury Wednesday, September 10th, 2008 at 2 p.m. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium.
