POWER, Walter B. (Bubbie) The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, September 12, 2008, of Mr. Walter B. (Bubbie) Power of Walthen Drive, Charlottetown, age 76 years. Beloved husband of Bertha (nee McGregor) Power. Dear father of Gale Power, Linda Power and Marlene (Nicolas) Mangos, all of Toronto. Bubbie is also fondly remembered by his grandchildren: Michael, Roseanne, Tammy, Crystal, Christopher, Michael and Ryan; his great-grandchildren: Katerina, Isabella, Josh, Kyla, Stephen and Amy; his brothers and sisters, Sammy Power, Kenneth Power, Hilda Alchorn and Roseanne Bowland. He was predeceased by his son, Walter Power Jr.; his parents, Mary Power-Arsenault and Walter Power Sr.; and his brothers, Carl “Choppy”, Eddie and John “Chuck” Power. Bubbie lived in Toronto for about 40 years and moved back to the island in 2006. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 9:45 on Tuesday morning, then transferred to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to take place later in the family plot in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
