Omer LEBLANC

LEBLANC, Omer Jr. - (April 12th, 1914 - September 19th, 2008) - Peacefully passed away in Sudbury on Friday, September 19th, 2008 at the age of 94 years. Son of the late Omer and of the late Joséphine (née Percil) Leblanc. Beloved husband of Anna Leblanc (née Miron) of Sudbury. Loving father of Pauline Knapp (Richard) of Sudbury. Predeceased by his son Maurice. Also predeceased by his many brothers and sisters. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, David (Maria) of Milton, Daniel (Andrea) of Sault-Ste-Marie, Julie (Gerry) and Andrew both of Sudbury. Lovingly remembered by his great-grandchildren Kayla, Noah and Ethan. Omer was an Iron Worker member for 50 years with Local Union 786. In his younger years, he was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. He enjoyed singing and with his beautiful voice, Omer had a song for every word he heard. The family will receive relatives and friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Monday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in Ste- Anne-des-Pins Church, Sudbury.
