McGILLIS, Juliette Marie Cécile (née Gauthier) - Peacefully passed away Thursday morning, September 25th, 2008 at the age of 88 years. Daughter of the late Alexandre “Alex“ and of the late Euphrasie (née Bazinet) Gauthier. Wife of the late Leo McGillis, predeceased in 1997. Loving mother of Norman McGillis (Janice) of Casselman and Claire Gamble (Gerry) of Sudbury. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Evelyne Bertrand, Roméo, Henri, Lauretta Forest, Jeannette Gauthier, Octave, Fernando, Alexandre and Leoda. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Suzanne, Christine, Michael, Marnee, Kathryn, Nancy and by her great-grandchildren, Brent, Bradley, Justin, Eric, Desirée, Sabrina, Meaghan, Collin, Duncan, Madison, Austin, Paige and Matt. Lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The focus of Juliette's life was her loving family who will miss her dearly. She enjoyed playing cards, attending the casino, crocheting and knitting. The family wishes to covey their sincere gratitude to the staff of the St. Joseph Villa, especially the Hillcrest Staff for their excellent care and compassion. The family will receive relatives and friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Saturday from 2-5 and 7-9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held Sunday, September 28th, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel, Sudbury.
