CANAAN, Edgard 1912 - 2008 C'est avec une grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de M. Edgard Canaan, le 17 août 2008. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse bien-aimée Mme Nadia Chiniara, son fils Najib Canaan, ses filles Mireille (Fred Hakim), Mary (Cherif Gemayel) et Nicole (Khalil Ghalayini), ses petits-enfants Miriam et Joseph Hakim, Karim, Nadine et Nathalie Ghalayini, son beau-frère Selim Chiniara (Nelly), ses belles-soeurs Lydia Kronfli (feu Victor Kronfli) et Wanda (Dimitri Manoli), les familles Chiniara, Hakim, Gemayel et Ghalayini qui sont au Liban ainsi que plusieurs amis au Liban et à Montréal. La famille remercie du fond du coeur tout le personnel du C3 du Manoir Cartierville pour leur dévouement et leurs soins attentionnés et pour leurs sentiments chaleureux. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Edgard Canaan on August 17, 2008. Edgard was the beloved and truly devoted husband of Nadia Chiniara and cherished and beloved father of Najib Canaan, Mireille (Fred Hakim), Mary (Cherif Gemayel), Nicole (Khalil Ghalayini). Edgard was also the loving grandfather of Miriam and Joseph Hakim, and Karim, Nadine and Nathalie Ghalayini. His family and friends and all his relatives will sadly miss him. His brother-in-law Selim Chiniara (Nelly Kronfli), his sister-in-law Lydia Kronfli (the late Victor Kronfli) his sister-in-law Wanda (Dimitri Manoli) and all the Chiniara Family, Hakim Family, Gemayel Family and the Ghalayini Family in Lebanon will sadly miss him as well as all his friends in Lebanon and Montreal. Our family is deeply grateful for the wonderful care received from the kind staff (C3 Dept) at the Manoir Cartierville. Their devotion was truly remarkable. The family will receive condolences at Urgel Bourgie Funeral Home, 3955 Cote-de-Liesse, Ville St. Laurent on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 from 5 to 9 p.m. The funeral services will be held Thursday, August 21, 2008 at St. Sixte Church, 1895 rue de L'Eglise (corner Marcel Laurin) at 11 a.m. "We love you Papi, and will miss you terribly.
