GRAY, George Raymond. Retired (Supply and Services Canada) It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of George Gray on Friday, October 15, 2004 at the age of 81, after a brief but difficult battle with cancer. Predeceased by his wife Veronica (Vera) and two brothers; survived by one sister, Joyce (Belfast, N. Ireland). Cherished and devoted father of Raymond, Deirdre, Desmond (Rosemary) and Paul (Stella). He will be sadly missed by 6 grandchildren; Robyn, Molly, Genie, Cullen, Rachel and Stuart. Born in Belfast, N. Ireland, George was a long time employee (1965-1986) of the former Supply and Services Canada (Director, Science Branch). Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd. (between Bayshore and Baseline Road) on Monday, October 18, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Departure from the Garden Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2004, with interment to follow at Pinecrest Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. The family wishes to thank the staff of 5th floor East (General Hospital) and the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre for their compassion and kindness.
