BLONG, Barbara (nee McOustra) - It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our wonderful mother Barbara on Tuesday, September 9th, 2008 at the age of 87. Barbara was a loving, generous person who always gave of herself to her family and friends and to her volunteer work. In return, she was loved by all who knew her. Predeceased by her husband Harry and her son Tom, she is survived by her five children, Anne (Alf) Carter, Susan (Stan) Larmet, Judy (Tom) Foreman, Art Blong and Rob (JoAnne) Blong. Nana will be lovingly remembered by her six grandchildren, her ten great grandchildren and her two great great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her loving sister Mary and her brother Bill, her niece Jani, and many extended family. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service to celebrate Barbara's life will be held at the HAMMOND FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 26 Ormond Street South, Thorold on Saturday, September 13th, 2008 at 11:00 am.
