BUONO, Teresa (Canini) - At Bluewater Health, Sarnia on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at the age of 81. Beloved wife of Loreto and loving mother of Anne and Gerry (Jane) Buono. Cherished grandmother of Adam (Terri) of Dundas, Nick (Tina) of Sarnia and Andrea of Victoria B.C. and great- grandmother of Christopher. Predeceased by her parents Dominic and Angelina Canini and her brother Carlo all of Italy. Survived by dear sister Giuseppa DiBona of Sarnia, Pietro Canini (Erminia) and Francessca Lolla of Italy. Loving aunt to a number of nieces and nephews in Europe; and locally, Marina Mak (goddaughter), Linda (Mario) Sousa, Sandro (Nicole) and Bob (Maria) DiBona, and Rick (Marie) Canini. Great aunt to Alex, Daniel and Josh Mak; Lucas, Gina and Eric Canini; Olivia and Jacob DiBona. Teresa was employed as a pastry chef for the Polysar cafeteria for many years and held many fond memories of her co-workers and patrons. She cherished spending time with her family and hosting large family dinners. She will be sadly missed. Family and friends will be received at SMITH FUNERAL HOME 1576 London Line, Sarnia on Friday evening October 3rd, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m. and also on Saturday morning from 9 to 10:30 a.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday October 4th, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Benedict's Catholic Church 1011 Oak St. Sarnia. Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association.
