CARKNER, Christena - At the Dundas Manor Nursing Home, Winchester, on Friday, October 3, 2008, Christena Carkner (nee Burton), formerly of R.R.# 1 Chesterville, age 90. Beloved wife of the late Alfred Carkner. Loving mother of Audrey (Bob) Henophy of Morrisburg, Donald (Glenna) of Kingston, Roger (Trudy) of Kingston, David (Janet) of R.R.# 1 Chesterville, and Lester (Celine) of Ottawa. Predeceased by a son Lawrence, a grandson Wayne Henophy and a brother Clarke Burton. Christena will be fondly remembered by 15 grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren and 1 great, great-grandson. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the MARSDEN AND MCLAUGHLIN FUNERAL HOME, Williamsburg, on Monday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 7th at 11 a.m. Interment Maple Ridge Cemetery, Chesterville.
