NOCERA, Leopoldo - At Bella Senior Care Residence on Sunday, September 21, 2008 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Marianna (nee Carlino) for over 52 years. Dear father of Teresa Ardizzone (Vince) and John Nocera. Forever loved by his grandchildren Daniel and Victoria. Mr. Nocera was predeceased by his parents Giovanni Nocera and Teresa Chininea, his brothers Leonardo, Giuseppi, Antonio, and Carmelo, his sister Domenica, and his grandson Frank. He was born in Bruzzano Zeffirio, Reggio Calabria, Italy and came to Canada in 1951. He was employed at Standard Steel, Inco, and Niagara Structural Steel until his retirement. Mr. Nocera enjoyed the company of his family and friends. He was an avid gardener who took pleasure in cooking and making wine. Friends may call at J.J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence 19 Young Street, Welland on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be said at 2 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at The Parish Community of St. Kevin on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Rite of Committal at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
