Alice Genevieve WITHELL

WITHELL, Alice Genevieve October 8, 1919 - August 30, 2008 We sadly announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandma and great-grandma. Alice took extraordinary pride in being a devoted mother, caring for her cherished family of three sons, Bill (Sharon), Jim (Wendy) and Ken (Debbie), and two daughters, Faye (Ev) of Edmonton and Patty (Wayne) of Vernon, thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Her talents were extensive as a homemaker; baking, sewing, and knitting, leaving us lots of precious memories. Then, in her sixties she became an oil painter of majestic mountains and lakes, on to intricate china painting, showing us her love of flowers and kittens - all of them treasured keepsakes. Alice will be remembered for her loving ways, her quick wit and her special endearing smile. She will be missed dearly. She was predeceased by her deepest love; husband Larry of sixty-two years, her parents, two sisters and her brother. A Private Family Memorial Service will be held at a later date. The Withell family would like to thank the staff on Unit 34 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital, for the exceptional care mother received, and also the staff at the Chinook Hospice, for their wonderful loving care for Mom and her family in her last days.
