OBITUARY JESSIE MALLOCH CASSILS CLEVELAND 1911 - 2008 Passed away peacefully on September 21, 2008 in hospital in Montreal in her ninety-eighth year. She was so full of life and always fun loving (which kept her younger than her years) which will be how her family and many friends will hold her in their memories. Jessie was the beloved wife of the late Thorburn Cleveland (known as Toby) and loving mother of her two daughters Heather Notman (predeceased by William Notman, 2000) and Chella Kerr (devoted partner of Peter Marler). Also predeceased by her loving stepson Hugh Cleveland. She will be terribly missed by all her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Hugh Notman (Deborah Winser), Samantha & Morgan, Jill Colpitts (Gregory), Christopher, Jamie & Sarah, Alexander Ross Kerr (Charlotte Gould), India, Jamieson Kerr (Jennifer Fraser), Frankie. They all adored their special G.G. and will miss their many visits. She is also predeceased by her sister Heather Black and brother Ian Cassils and was very fond of her nephews & nieces: Ian H. Black & John, Anthony & Angela Cassils (Darragh) who were very devoted and thoughtful. The family is forever grateful to her remarkable and generous caregiver of 7 years Christine. Jessie was a great and generous lady who lived a long and full life and gave us all sage advice along the way. She did much volunteer work in her younger years. Her attitude was always positive, contagious and as a result she enjoyed many good friends of all ages. A celebration of her life will be held at 4300 de Maisonneuve W., from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 29, 2008. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to a charity of your choice.
