Mr. Larry Douglas Barker February 9, 1947 - July 18, 2008 Larry Douglas Barker Feb 9th, 1947 - July 18th, 2008 It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing away of Larry at the age of 61 in Vineland. Larry was the soul mate and beloved husband of Greta Loving father of Steve (Donna), Scott (Laurie), Michele Gigliotti, Larry Jr. (Kyoko) and Jen Weeks (Dylan). Pre-deceased by son Cameron. Grandfather to Stephanie, Christine, Tarl, Jeffrey, Brandon, Sean, Daniel, Adrian, Alyssa, and Jacob. Adored brother of Rob Gunn (Viv), Danny, Julie Burtch (Daryl), Cindy Nuttall (Peter), and Kevin. Larry was kind and always helpful. He was an inspiration to everyone who met him. Larry always put everyone else first and with his great sense of humour he instantly put everyone at ease making many friends. He was a wonderful father, teacher and friend. He was a loving husband and soul-mate. He will be greatly missed by a large extended family (Sutherlands and Barkers) and many friends. Larry though you are no longer with us here on earth, we know that you are now with Jesus, preparing a place for us in Heaven. God’s gardens must be resplendent with you as one of His gardeners. Romans 12:10 Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. (NLT) The family will receive friends at the Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Rd. W., Oakville from Wednesday 7-9pm and Thursday 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held at the Evangel Pentecostal Church, 1450 Rebecca St, Oakville on Friday July 25th at 11:00am.
