LACROIX, Sylvio F. Peacefully at the Ottawa Hospital, General Campus, on Saturday October 4, 2008 in his 69th year following a brief illness, it is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Sylvio Lacroix, prop. of Ottawa Vending Equipment. Son of the late Vital and the late Gracia Lacroix. Sylvio will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Carlen (nee Behan) and his 4 children Janet O'Neil (Mike O'Neil), Jean Lacroix (Cindy Gerrie), Paulette Franklin (Michael Franklin), Pauline Patterson (Scott Patterson) and his 6 grandchildren Jennifer, Brittany, Shawn, Brad, Joshua and Krystal. Sylvio is survived by his brothers Rodolphe, Marcel, Rejean, Ronald and Aurele and his sisters Rollande Soeur Dominican O.P., Leona, Pauline and Denise. He is predeceased by 5 brothers. The family will receive relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Home, 2871 St. Joseph Blvd., Orleans, on Wednesday, October 8, from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. and on Thursday, October 9, as of 10 a.m. Funeral Service will follow in the Heritage Chapel at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
