HUGHES, Violet Jean (Past President of the Trinity United Church Women) At her residence in Smiths Falls, on Sunday, October 5, 2008, Jean McDougall, age 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Wesley Kenneth Hughes. Loving mother of Marjorie Hughes (Ken) and predeceased by a daughter Carole and son Wayne (Linda). Cherished grandmother of Christine (Jean-Guy), Laurie (Bruce), Trisha (Scott), Brett (Amy) and predeceased by grandson Kenny. Great grandmother of Jeremy, Kierstin, Colten, Rory, Benjamin and Garry. Dear sister of Harold (Lois), Jim (Muriel), Ray (Betty) and Wilmer (Fern). Predeceased by sisters Lorna Ireland, Lois Van Camp, Mary Watson and by her brothers Clifford and Boyd. Friends may call at the Lannin Funeral Home, Smiths Falls form 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM on Wednesday. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. In memory of Jean, donations to the Trinity United Church and the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
