HARKNESS, Nora Isobelle (nee Dunn)- of Kitchener at The Westmount Long Term Centre, peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Hugh Harkness and dearest mother of Dianne Baker and her husband Peter of Waterloo and the late Joanne Norman. Cherished grandmother of Hugh James Lambert, Peter James Baker, Joanne N. Cowan and loving great grandmother of Taylor, Clay, Brittany, Lucas and Cassandra. Fondly remembered by her brother Ambrose Dunn and his wife Lou of Kingston, and her sisters Kaye Murphy of Kingston, Agnes Fedyk of Calgary and Jo Anne Finnell of Florida. Predeceased by her parents Commander Joseph and Agnes Dunn and her sisters Margaret Dunn and Mary McKegney. The family will receive friends at DAVID MACLEOD FUNERAL HOME, 617 King St., N., Waterloo on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral and Committal service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, October 10, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Father Malcolm Katzenberger officiating. Cremation will follow. A reception will be held at the funeral home following the service.
