Geertruida BOT

BOT, Geertruida “Trudy” - “They were longing for a better country - a heavenly one” Hebrews 11:16. On Saturday, October 4, 2008, Trudy Bot went home to be with the Lord. Trudy was born in Dordrecht, Holland on September 13, 1922. She was youngest of 7 children. Trudy married her true love Bernie on July 3rd, 1947 and they immigrated to Canada in 1954. She was predeceased by her parents and siblings. She was an active member of the Christian Reformed Church. She enjoyed being a member of the ladies choir. She also enjoyed volunteering at Rosewood Manor and Bluewater Health, and working for the Ontario Alliance of Christian Schools. Beloved wife of Bernie, mother of Rudy (Rita), Liz VanEssen (Leon), Marilyn Pearn (Doug) and Julia Bot (Russ Roberts). Cherished grandmother of Elicia, Kevin, Stephen, Joel, Amanda and Kyle. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at First Christian Reformed Church, the corner of Murphy Road and Exmouth St., Sarnia. Reception to follow in the church hall. Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Drs. Cornilla, Syan, Dhar and Ross, and all the nurses in Cardiac Care of Bluewater Health who provided our Mom and Wife with kindest care.
