A. E. Velma JONES

DUNDAS, A.E. Velma (Jones) - Passed away peacefully on October 10, 2008 at Stevenson Memorial Hospital, Alliston, ON. Born January 29, 1917 on the family farm near Lisle, ON, youngest child of Jesse and Margaret Jones. Velma graduated from Barrie Collegiate in 1935 and Toronto Normal School in 1936. She married J. Arthur Dundas in 1940 and they celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary in 2006. After a long and successful teaching career in Sudbury and much enjoyed retirement at McFarlane Lake, they returned to the Alliston area in 2005 where they lived together at the Good Samaritan LTCF. Velma was predeceased by her husband in 2006, and by her seven siblings. She is survived by her two sons, David, of Woodbridge, ON, and John (Lyn), of Kenora, ON. Funeral services will be held at St. James' Anglican Church, Clougher/Lisle at 11:00 am on Monday, October 20, 2008. Arrangements entrusted to W.
