Doris WILKINSON

WINDSOR, Doris - Passed away peacefully in her sleep, at her residence in North Bay, Monday, October 20, 2008 at the age of 85. Doris (née Wilkinson) was the beloved wife of the late Francis “Frank” Windsor and loving mother of Katherine, deceased and Lynn Savard (Charles). She will be lovingly remembered by four grandchildren, Jonathan, Joanna, Christina and David. Doris was like a second Mom and grandmother to her daughter Katherine's dearest friends, Sue Beauchamp (Pierre) and Jean-Marie Morin (Patti) and their children, Daniel and Amanda and Karla and Katherine. Doris started her nursing career in England in 1945 after the war, graduating three years later to become a Registered Nurse; she moved to Canada in 1957. Family and friends may pay their respects at McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted at McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, time to be confirmed. Luncheon to follow. Interment of cremated remains at Terrace Lawn Cemetery. It was Doris's wish that in lieu of flowers donations be made to CNIB or a charity of your choice.
