Mr. David Hamilton Wigle May 02, 1923 - October 28, 2004 Funeral arrangements by James H Sutton Funeral Home WIGLE: David Hamilton The quiet voice of a very Gentle Man with his own special sense of humour has been stilled. At 81 years young and surrounded by his devoted family at Metropolitan Hospital, David, of Amherstburg, passed away peacefully Thursday October 28, 2004 following a lengthy illness. With David as his journey ended, were his wife of 54 years Helen and his family Tina & Bob Friars, Meg & Kevin Atkinson all of Amherstburg, Kay Wigle (Chip Martin) of London, Roy-Jay & Cherylynn Wigle of LaSalle. Papa, the Fisherman Hero to Robbie, Jeff & Adam Friars, Greg & Jenny Atkinson, Lindsey & Scott Martin, Skyler Wigle and Nicholas, Jerrica and Kaitlynn Durocher. David was also loved and will indeed be missed by his extended family Rick, Deanna, Allison and Laura Lowe of Amherstburg and Dennis, Sylvia, Ryan, Kristin and Kaitlin Rafferty of Brantford. David was predeceased by his parents Roy and Muriel Wigle, a sister Harriet (Bill McKenna) and brothers John Hamilton, John Ellis, James and Roy-Joseph Wigle and survived by sister-in-law Ruth Wigle. David, a 33 year employee of the former Seagram Corporation was a World War II Royal Canadian Air Force Veteran. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday November 13, 2004 at 1:00 p.m at St. John The Baptist Church,225 Brock St., Amherstburg. Visitation with family will be one hour prior to the Mass celebrating David’s life. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
