BRASSARD, Robert Roy October 1, 1930 - October 17, 2008 It is with great sadness the family of Roy Brassard announces his passing on October 17, 2008. Roy passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary surrounded by his loving family after a battle with leukemia. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Sheila, and his children Scott (Janice), Cal (Shawna), Terryl (John), Alison (Mark) and his six loving grandchildren Jessica, Graham, Jonathan, James, Brian and Kira. Roy is also survived by his sisters Joan (Roy) Maguire and Sharon (Jeff) Breckenridge and his brother Glen (Loretta) Brassard. The Funeral Service will be held at Zion Evangelical Missionary Church in Didsbury on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. Zion is located at the corner of Highway 582 and 20 Avenue in Didsbury. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heroes Character Education Program at Westglen School in Didsbury. Roy was a Hero.
