MAMIC, Maria Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in hospital, on Monday October 20, 2008, age 56, after a courageous battle with cancer. Daughter of the late Iva and Mirko Calusic. Beloved wife of Josip Mamic. Loving mother of Anamarija (Anthony Weicker), Karmela (Morgan McGrath), Zrinka (Jason Loucks) and Kresimir. Proud grandmother of Tiana, Luka, Logan, Emma, Iva and Katarina. Fondly remembered by her sister Lucija Culo. Survived by relatives in Croatia and many friends in Ottawa. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 3000 Woodroffe Avenue, Barrhaven, on Sunday, October 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. Roman Catholic Funeral on Monday, October 27 at St. Leopold Mandic Croatian Church, 170 Hinchey Ave., at 11 a.m., followed by Interment at Hope Cemetery. Reception at 2 p.m. at St. Leopold Mandic Croatian Church Hall. In Memoriam, donations to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
