Norman ANDERSON

Norman Anderson, of Lindsay Norman Anderson of Lindsay, Ontario died at Ross Memorial Hospital on August 27, 2008. He was 69 years old. Mr. Anderson was born on April 12, 1939 in Inwood, Manitoba. The family moved to Kapuskasing in July 1944. Mr. Anderson worked at Spruce Falls in various departments and also worked at his parents’ outfitter camp on Granite Hill Lake, south of Hornepayne. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, skiing and woodworking, as well as spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Mary Thompson-Anderson and Ludwig, and brothers Lloyd and Ken Thompson. Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife Maxine (née Balesdent) , son Mark and daughter Bonny (Terry Pater) ; brother, Richard (Sue) of Kapuskasing; sister-in-law Freda of Kapuskasing; sister Eleanor (Pete) Wilson of Orillia, Ontario; and grandchildren Kieran, Aidan and Liam; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held at Legion Br. 85 on September 13, 2008 from 2 to 5 p. m. Mr. Anderson’s ashes will be interred in Kapuskasing and Lindsay. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
