MORSE, Rose (Dawson) - After a long, beautiful life, Rose Dawson Morse passed away at her residence in her 93rd year, on Sunday November 2, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. Wife of the late Wesley M. Morse (1965). Rose lives on in her beloved children, Ron (Mary Ellen), Gerry (Karen), Suzanne (Lawrence Berger), John (Kelly), Peter and Robin, her grandchildren, Sarah, Emily (Don Reid), Michael, Alaina, Wesley (Precious), Katie, Aaron, Laura, Rebecca, David, Hannah, Joshua, Rachel, and Karlee and her great grandchildren, Taylor and Will Reid, and Jack Berger. Predeceased by her brothers, Daniel and David Dawson. A lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, Rose was an active member of Our Lady of Peace Church, the Catholic Women's League, and Past President and Life member of the Loretto International Alumni Association. Following her retirement from the City of Niagara Falls, she volunteered with the GNGH Hospital Auxiliary and with the Big Sisters Association. Mrs. Morse is at the MORSE & SON CHAPEL of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES, 5917 Main Street, where her family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Wednesday and Thursday. Vigil will be held at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Peace Church on Friday morning at 10 o'clock.
