SILVERTHORNE, John Carman - Passed away peacefully at the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, Dunnville, on Saturday, November 1, 2008, at the age of 73. Beloved husband and best friend of Shirley for 51 years. Loving and adored father of Allan ( Sharon), Bob (Debbie), Jim (Karen), Tom (Jennifer), Tim (Bonnie), and Debbie (John) Bullen. Will be sadly missed by many grandchildren, Scott, Eric, Christopher, Ryan, Shantel, Conner, Iain, Kyle, John Paul, Jimmy, Laura, Skye, Trevor and Trinity. Brother of Evelyn Pogue, and Lyle (Fanny) Silverthorne. Brother-in-law of Gloria and Harold Fleming, Linda and Leonard Lalonde, Brenda and Tom Hyatt, Joyce and Wilfred Posthumus, Angela and Wayne Lee. Predeceased by his parents Stella and Carman, Brother Ray (Donna) and brother-in-law Eric Pogue. Also will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. At John's request cremation has taken place. A private family service was held. As an expression of sympathy donations to Dunnville Hospital & Healthcare Foundation would be appreciated.
