Beatrice POITRAS

LEDUC (Lafleur), Beatrice (nee Poitras) - of Welland, passed away at her residence, The Foyer Richelieu on Wednesday November 5, 2008 in her 89th year. Cherished mother of Elise Morin (Julien), Georgette Beaulieu (Paul), Fernand Lafleur (Donna), Linda Lafleur, Gerald Lafleur (Sandra),Pauline Little (Danny) and Diane Colford. Mrs. Leduc will be greatly missed by 18 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Eugene Poitras and Elise Richer, her first husband of 46 years Aurel Lafleur and her second husband Lorne Leduc of 20 years, her son Arthur Lafleur and her grandson Jason Lafleur, her brothers Aurel Poitras and Leon Poitras. Beatrice worked at the Monark Knitting Mill and over 30 years at the Sunset Haven. After retiring they bought a motor home and did a lot of traveling. She spent the winter months in Florida, where she enjoyed boating and fishing. The Leduc (Lafleur) family will receive friends at J.J. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence 19 Young Street, Welland on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held at the funeral residence at 2 o'clock. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at The Parish Community of St. Kevin on Saturday November 8, 2008 at 10 o'clock. Rite of Committal to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
