SYLVESTER, George Edward - Passed away peacefully at home October 25, 2008 lovingly cared for by his family. Beloved husband of the late Olivia Mary. Loving father of John (Rosemary), Olivia Suess (Jim) and Jillian Ritchie (Warren). Dear grandfather of Sarah, Brian and Alison and great-grandfather of Mikayla. George served in France and North Africa during WWII. He emigrated from the UK to Canada with his wife and son in 1948. He had a long career as Inspector and then Manager (construction safety) with the Ministry of Labour in Toronto, Hamilton and St. Catharines. Memorial service to be held on Thursday, October 30 at 2:00 p.m. at LAMPMAN'S FUNERAL HOME in Fenwick and a gathering for all friends held at 3:00 p.m. at the Fenwick Lion's Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family. 11295243
