BARR, Marilyn Katharine (nee St. Hilaire) - Peacefully in the presence of her family on Thursday, October 30th, 2008 at McMaster University Medical Centre in her 70th year. Beloved wife of Lynn for 49 years. Loving mother of Anne (Paul) Higgins, Michael (Brenda), Tracy (Dave) Jones, Lori (Darrin) Post, Mary Lee (Nick) Konyi. Dear grandmother of Steven (Janet), Stephanie, Robert, Katie, Matthew, Kaitlyn, Alex, Daniel and Jessica. Sister of Wayne (Betty) St. Hilaire, William (Susan) St. Hilaire, Betty (Doug) Graham. Sister-in-law of Gordon (Betty) Barr, Paul (Wanda) Barr, Jean (late John) Sweetland, Sandra (Gary) Knights, late Donald (Shirley) Barr. Marilyn was a long time member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and the Catholic Women's League in Thorold. She was an employee of Goodwill Industries of Niagara for 17 years. The family will receive friends at the HAMMOND FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 26 Ormond Street South, Thorold on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 3pm with the CWL present. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church (21 Queen St. S., Thorold) on Monday, November 3rd at 11:00am. Cremation to follow.
