MANNING, Joseph Isadore After a courageous 14-year battle with cancer on Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at the Souris Hospital of Joseph Isadore Manning of St. Charles, age 68 years. He will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by his loving wife, Rita. Loving father to Tommy (Donna), Joanne (Brendon Whalen), Layton (Christa). Special Pappa of Bradley (Sarah), Kyle (Amanda), Melanie, Bethany Whalen, Noah, Ben and Jenna and great-granddaughter, Lilly. Dear brother of Mary (George Bushey), Kee (Wally Jackson), Jim (Eva), Kenneth (Catherine), Jackie (Judy), Shirley (Wes Munro), Doreen (Peter Chaisson), Theresa (Kenny Chaisson). Brother-in-law to Kathe Manning, Shirley (Everett Gallant), Marie (Henry Paquet), Vera Gallant, Gladys (Wilfred King), Martha (Donnie Flynn) Edna (Eldon MacDonald), Carol (David MacDonald), Frances and Daniel Gallant. Also left to mourn are uncle, Frank Peters, Charlottetown; aunt, Berta May LeBlanc, Weymouth, N.S.; and uncle, Lloyd Blackett (Lea); and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, Thomas and Agnes Manning; brother, Russell; father and mother-in-law, Frank and Marguerite Gallant. Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home, Souris, for visiting hours on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Funeral to be held Saturday morning from St. Charles Church, with funeral mass to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
