William G. STRACHAN

STRACHAN, William G. BSc, BEng - Halifax, N.S.: Peacefully at Hospice Niagara on Sunday, November 9, 2008, in his 77th year. Loving husband of Joan for 51 years. Proud father of Catherine, Allison and John. Grandpa will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Angeliki, Anna, Yiorgos and Alexander. Bill loved to travel, becoming a tour escort after his retirement. Because music and theatre were very important to him, he was a volunteer at Brock Centre for the Arts for many years, as well as serving on the St. Catharines Museum Board. The Dragon Boat Festival was a recipient of this hard work and gift of organization. At Bill's request cremation has taken place, and a private funeral will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends for memorial visitation at the PATRICK J. DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 39 Court St. (at King) on Thursday, November 13, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hospice Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
