Josephine Mary LUCIANI

LUCIANI, Josephine Mary “Josie“ - A Danville, California resident, died on Sept. 3 at the age of 72. She was born Jan. 7, 1936, in Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada, and attended Notre Dame High School in Welland, Ontario. She lost her father at a very early age and was partially raised by her loving Grandma Battista who taught her the beautiful Italian language. She met the love of her life, Frank D. “Fritz“ Luciani, while still a teenager and they were married in 1955. In 1972 they moved to California where Josie's husband, Fritz, spent 23 years in a management position with the Kaiser Health Plan in Oakland, California. In 1980, to help celebrate their 25th. wedding anniversary, they travelled to Castropignano, Italy, to discover their roots. She suffered from cancer for the last 5 years of her life. She is survived by her husband of 53 years; sons Patrick of Concord, Ca.; Christopher (Linda) of Cleveland, Ohio; Kerry (Robin) of Spokane, WA; and Jay of Diego Garcia; eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 11315816
