PODMORE, John Richard. Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at the Montreal General Hospital in his eighty-ninth year. He was Past Master of the Royal Victoria Masonic Lodge #57. Retired forty-four year employee of the Canadian National Railways, Canadian Armed Forces Veteran and standing member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #4. Beloved husband of sixty-five years to May Rose. Loving father of John (Suzanne), William, and of the late Lawrence. Proud grandfather of Matthew, Steven, Christopher, Sara and Jennifer and great-grandfather to Serena and David. Resting at Feron's Funeral Homes, (1010 Shevchenko, Ville LaSalle). Visitation on Sunday, November 9, 2008 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., Monday at 11 a.m. with service to follow at 1 p.m. in the parlor of the funeral home. Published in the Montreal Gazette on 11/8/2008
