Delmar Alonzo WESTFALL

WESTFALL, Delmar Alonzo 1923 - 2008 God saw Delmar getting tired and called him home on November 4, 2008. Delmar will be sadly missed by his eternal loving wife and partner Helen; two daughters Wendy Debra (Edwin) Woolley of Sherwood Park, Alberta, Susan Michelle (Roy) Peters of Surrey, B.C.; a son, Grayden Michael (Kathy) of Temple City, California; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Harold and Bessie Westfall, by a son, Rodney Merrick and a brother Archie of Pueblo, Colorado, U.S.A. He was deeply dedicated to his faith and served in numerous positions and callings in the church - including Bishop of Calgary 4th Ward. He was a dedicated husband, father and friend. Delmar was raised and received his education in the Ross Lake and Jefferson areas of Southern Alberta. He finished his education in Calgary and worked for forty-four years in the head office in the insurance industry in the business administration section, besides attending advanced accounting classes for four more years. In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial tributes may be made to the charity of one's choice. At Delmar's request a private family Graveside Service will be held at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
